Detailed Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: Colombo / Cairo Arrival

Route: Colombo → Flight → Cairo

  • Departure: Welcome to your ARM Global Travels Egypt Nile Cruise Tour. Meet our representative at Bandaranaike International Airport, complete immigration, and fly to Cairo.
  • Arrival: Arrive at Cairo International Airport. Our local agent will meet, assist, and transfer you to the hotel.
  • Evening: Hotel check-in, followed by dinner.

Meals Included: Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Cairo.

DAY 02: Giza Pyramids / Egyptian Museum / Sleeper Train to Aswan

Location: Giza Plateau & Cairo → Overnight Sleeper Train

  • Pyramids Excursion: Transfer to Giza Plateau to discover the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the iconic Great Sphinx and Valley Temple.
  • Museum & Coptic Cairo: Enjoy lunch at a restaurant, then explore the Egyptian Museum including the Tutankhamen treasures room. Visit the Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo and shop at Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
  • Overnight Train: Transfer to Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan.

Meals Included: Breakfast at Hotel, Lunch at Restaurant, & Dinner on Train. Overnight stay on board the sleeper train.

DAY 03: Aswan Arrival / Nile Cruise Embarkation

Location: Aswan & 5-Star Nile Cruise

  • Arrival: Arrive in Aswan, met and assisted by our local representative, then embark on your Nile River Cruise.
  • Aswan Highlights: Visit the High Dam, the awesome Philae Temple (dedicated to Goddesses Isis and Hathor), and the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient stone quarries.

Meals Included: Breakfast on Train, Lunch & Dinner on Cruise. Overnight stay on board in Aswan.

DAY 04: Kom Ombo / Edfu / Sailing to Esna

Location: Nile River Cruise

  • Kom Ombo: Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the unique dual Temple shared by Gods Sobek and Haeroris.
  • Edfu: Sail to Edfu and visit the Horus Temple, recognized as the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt.
  • Sailing: Enjoy afternoon tea on deck as you sail towards Esna.

DAY 05: Luxor West Bank Excursion

Location: Luxor West Bank

  • West Bank Wonders: Sail to Luxor and explore the famous West Bank:
    • Valley of the Kings: Royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs.
    • Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: 15th-century BC architectural masterpiece at El-Deir El-Bahari.
    • Colossi of Memnon: Giant stone statues.
  • Leisure: Relax with afternoon tea on board while taking in the Nile views.

DAY 06: East Bank Temples / Sleeper Train to Cairo

Location: Luxor East Bank → Overnight Sleeper Train

  • Disembarkation & Temples: Disembark from the cruise after breakfast. Visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank.
  • Return Journey: In the evening, transfer to Luxor railway station to board the sleeper train back to Cairo.

Meals Included: Breakfast on Cruise, Dinner on Train. Overnight stay on board the sleeper train.

DAY 07: Giza / Alexandria Sightseeing

Route: Giza → Alexandria

  • Alexandria Transfer: Arrive at Giza station after breakfast on board, then drive to Alexandria (Egypt’s second capital).
  • Coastal Sightseeing: Check-in at hotel and explore:
    • Qaitbay Citadel: 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient lighthouse.
    • Alexandria Library: The acclaimed modern Library of Alexandria.
    • Rock-cut Catacombs: Roman cemetery carved directly into the rock.

Meals Included: Breakfast on Train, Lunch at Local Restaurant, & Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Alexandria.

DAY 08: Alexandria / Cairo Departure

Route: Alexandria → Cairo Airport → Departure Flight

  • Check-out & Transfer: Breakfast at hotel, followed by free time before checking out. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight back to Colombo.

DAY 09: Arrive Colombo

Route: Flight → Arrival at Colombo Airport

  • Arrive safely back at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo.

Payment Terms & Voluntary Cancellation Policy

Payment Terms: A 50% advance deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance payment due 01 month prior to departure.

Voluntary Cancellation Charges:

  • Between 60 – 30 days before departure: Charge 25% of tour cost.
  • Between 30 – 20 days before departure: Charge 50% of tour cost.
  • Between 20 – 15 days before departure: Charge 75% of tour cost.
  • Within 15 days of departure: Strictly No Refund (100% charge).
